Confessions of a Teenage Leper is a novel about Abby, a girl that has everything. Perfect looks, perfect future, not-so-perfect brother, a spot in the cheerleading squad. Until Abby notices angry red patches forming on her skin. And her feet go numb. And she is losing her strength… Confessions of a Teenage Leper explores what it’s like for a teenager to be diagnosed with a crippling, life-long, and ultimately disfiguring illness. Abby must decide what is more important: beauty on the outside, or the beauty within? Although not very well-written, the novel will appeal to teens with its unexpected plot twists. 2 out of 4 stars

Jawa Timur: Penerbit Spring an imprint of Penerbit Haru. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli is about Simon, a typical white boy high school student. A little nerdy and not quite in with the popular crowd, Simon still has many friends and gets along with everyone - leading to a seemingly perfect life. However, Simon has a secret. Simon is gay, and is in a quasi-relationship with a kid named Blue. Thing is, Blue and Simon have never actually met. Albertalli has created a world that many of American’s closested teens would recognize, without ever despairing too much about it. Poignant and funny, Simon vs. the Homo Sapien Agenda is a must-read for teens who don’t feel that they quite fit in. 4 out of 4 stars   William C.   image:  background.jpg (633×537) (annihil.us) Secret wars: Battleworld. (2015). New York, NY: Marvel Worldwide. Secret Wars Battleworld tells the story of the Punisher, a Marvel villain and sometimes hero, being pursued by big-time comic book names like the Hulk, Spiderman, and Wolverine. The Punisher will go to any lengths to defeat his foes, even if that means hurting himself.   Teens who enjoy the Marvel movies will probably enjoy this comic. It is excellently illustrated and tells an interesting story filled with moral ambiguity. Who is the true villain - Wolverine or the Punisher?
