Hello! I'm Tessa. I  am an MLIS student at Drexel University interested in teen literature.

I work in a daycare as a teacher to school age children who come to my center to do their virtual classwork during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

I love to read, crochet, and watch TV.

I have two cats, Ms. Milly and Lola.

But reading is my real passion!

Until Abby notices angry red patches forming on her skin. And her feet go numb. And she is losing her strength… Confessions of a Teenage Leper explores what it’s like for a teenager to be diagnosed with a crippling, life-long, and ultimately disfiguring illness. Abby must decide what is more important: beauty on the outside, or the beauty within? Although not very well-written, the novel will appeal to teens with its unexpected plot twists. 2 out of 4 stars
